My Path to Soul
Like many, I came into this work through personal experience of burn-out and health difficulties. Leaving a career in documentary television I faced chronic fatigue, anxiety and crushing insomnia. Committed to returning to health, I embarked upon a seven-year journey to heal my body and mind, and on that path discovered the power of embodied healing practices.
I trained in the Theatre of the Oppressed with my dear friend George Wielgus, going on to lead workshops across the UK and Europe as Co-Creative Director of the charity Reboot the Roots. We supported activists in learning embodied methods for creative resistance. I went on to train in Family/Systemic Constellations with Petr Malek in the Czech Republic. Petr's masterful work combines Constellations therapy with tantric bodywork and intuitive energy healing.
I then studied shamanic healing through the Northern Drum school under esteemed teachers Chris Luttichau and Hilary Kneele. I continue training with them and in time hope to study under indigenous shamans outside of the UK. Where possible I work in land-based spaces so that the spirits of the natural world can enrich, support and inform the process.
Having met so many challenges with my health, I came to see my body as my greatest (albeit at times frustrating) teacher, and have a deep wish to support others facing similar issues. It may sound strange, but am profoundly grateful for the difficult experiences I have encountered and the teachings and humility gained as a result. I am grateful for the myriad blessings that rain upon me each day, for my incredible teachers and guides, and for those who lift me up and support me in so many ways.
My Mission
Deepening connection by nurturing self, soul and soil.
My Philosophy
You are not broken! You are perfect as you are and don't need to change. But, you came into this life to learn and grow, and growth can require shedding ways of being that have become a hindrance.
Throughout our lives we encounter numerous challenges that leave a mark on our psyche and impact how we engage with the world. Negative conditioning, traumatic experiences, past-lives and ancestral baggage can leave us with a sense of entanglement, forever questioning "Why can't I just...?". Overcoming challenges like these are rarely easy, and seeking guidance and support is often an important part of the process.
Challenges help us to grow, and with this work we can start to learn valuable lessons about ourselves and the world, and move closer to a lighter and brighter way of being.
